It is common for pieces to jam while drilling. It has happened to me several times.
The best way to deal with a jammed bit is not to force it out by running the drill. Instead, switch off the cordless drill, detach the bit and the chuck and remove the bit by use of manual tools. This will prevent any potential damages to your work piece.
Step 10: Finishing
After you are done with your drilling job, it is time to turn your attention to the cordless drill and prepare it for storage. Remove the bits, clean them and store them appropriately.
Use a soft brush to clean the drill as recommended and store it in the right place in wait for the next job.
